Meet your dentist
Dr. Raj Ukani
Dr. Raj Ukani is proud to provide care to his local community in San Diego, where he grew up and now serves patients with a focus on attentive care in a comfortable environment. Spending his childhood in Mira Mesa and now calling Carmel Mountain home, Dr. Ukani’s journey into dentistry started with a personal experience visiting his orthodontist. The kindness and attentiveness of his orthodontic team left a lasting impression on him and sparked his passion for helping others through dentistry.
Dr. Ukani’s education journey reflects his dedication to providing exceptional care. He began his studies at Rancho Bernardo High School and advanced to Palomar College, where he started laying the foundation for his career. His academic path led him to UCLA to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, and he went on to complete his dental training at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Now, with three years of experience, he brings both knowledge and a personal touch to every appointment.
Dr. Ukani is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS). Whether alleviating pain with a root canal or helping patients regain confidence with crowns or Invisalign, Dr. Ukani’s approach is always patient-focused. He genuinely enjoys building strong patient relationships in a pressure-free environment that respects each individual’s needs.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Ukani has an adventurous side. He loves traveling and has explored destinations like Iceland, Austria, Slovakia, and Denmark during his solo trips abroad. Photography, particularly capturing landscapes, is a hobby he deeply enjoys. Closer to home, you can often find him hiking, running, or exploring all the best food spots San Diego has to offer, always on the hunt for the next hidden culinary gem.

While we’re in the process of transforming our office aesthetic, we already offer blankets to ensure your comfort during visits. Plans include adding a beverage station and additional amenities to make every trip to our practice feel more like a relaxing retreat.

While Convoy Dentistry is not currently involved in formal partnerships or community outreach programs, we take pride in serving a diverse population in Clairemont Mesa and surrounding areas. Our proximity to the 99 Ranch Market allows us to welcome many patients from the local Chinese-American community, while our location near Miramar makes us a convenient choice for military families. This diverse and vibrant patient base is central to our commitment to delivering accessible, compassionate care that reflects the community we’re proud to serve.
